Disability-friendly & inclusive play

The Little Southern Village is committed to creating a calm, inclusive environment where children of all abilities feel welcome and supported, including children with disability and additional or special educational needs (SEN). The village has been thoughtfully designed to be accessible and wheelchair friendly, with open pathways and flexible play spaces that support a range of needs.

Our play sessions are calm and adaptable, allowing children to engage at their own pace, with space for independence, regulation, and connection in a low-pressure setting.

We welcome self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants and can provide receipts to support NDIS claims where applicable. As the village grows, we are continuing to explore additional ways to support diverse needs, including SEN-focused opportunities, while maintaining the calm, considered environment families value.

If you have specific access needs or questions, we encourage you to get in touch so we can explore what might work best for your family.

How bookings work

Inclusive play happens within our regular play sessions. Families book as usual and enjoy the village in a calm, low-pressure environment.

For those who like to know what to expect before they arrive, we also offer a “What to Expect at The Little Southern Village” handbook. It walks through how sessions run, what the space looks like, and what a visit might feel like, helping both children and caregivers feel prepared and at ease.

If you have specific needs or questions, we’re always happy to chat before you book and help guide you.

Payment options

We welcome self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants and can provide receipts to support NDIS claims where applicable. Families are best to confirm eligibility with their plan manager.

What support looks like

The Little Southern Village is designed to be accessible and wheelchair friendly, with open pathways and flexible play spaces.

Support here looks like:

  • A calm, regulated environment

  • Space to play independently or connect when ready

  • No pressure to “do it a certain way”

  • A welcoming approach to children with disability and additional or special educational needs (SEN)

We’re building this thoughtfully and will continue to grow our offerings as the village grows.
